Discover the hidden urban wildlife on your doorstep (and local mill chimney)

Dalton Mills
Dalton Mills in Keighley is the first stop on the Peregrine Trail. Sadly, a number of buildings have been damaged by fires and there are currently issues with ownership of the Mills making it difficult for us to undertake any works here. instead we've gone to plan B and installed a camera aiming up at the chimney from the Keighley Bus Museum.

The Peregrines have nested successfully in an alcove on the Dalton Mills chimney for many years and we're lucky that the chimney they use at the back of the mill has not been affected by the fires.

Where to watch
The Peregrines can perch on any side of the chimney and sometimes on the other buildings making up the Mills complex. Good viewing can often be had from Riverside, Dalton Lane or River Technology Park Road. The nesting alcove is best viewed from the Keighley Bus Museum on open days. Make sure you view from opposite the entrance to the museum building. Do not walk closer to the chimney (along the turning to the right after entering the Bus Museum gate) as this is private land. Thank you.
